Let's tee off with some golf news from this past weekend's⛽️ Valero Texas Open. Corey Conners 🇨🇦 proved that lightning ⚡️ can indeed strike twice, as he claimed victory at the Valero Texas Open for the second time in five years. Conners, who previously won the tournament in 2019, had his eyes on the prize, closing with a 4-under 68 to secure a one-stroke win over rookie Sam Stevens.

Conners' victory, with a 15-under 273 total, was no walk in the park. He started play trailing Patrick Rodgers by one shot, but he took the reins with a three-shot lead after a birdie on No. 15. Stevens mounted a late charge, eagle-ing the 17th, but a missed birdie putt on the 18th kept Conners in the lead. The Canadian golfer sealed the deal with a 3-foot par putt on the final hole 🙌.

While Conners celebrated, it was a tough day for Rodgers, who saw his hopes of a first tour victory vanish with a disappointing 73 to finish fifth at 11-under. As for Conners, he's now heading to the Masters, where he's already made a name for himself with two straight top-10 finishes 👀.

  1. Playing golf… slow. All we ask is that you play bad golf, fast 🚶‍♂️.

  2. Packed tee times - Goes along with #1. Just hate it when they schedule tee times what feels like 3 minutes apart 😑.

  3. Showing up late to a tee time - Don’t be late, mate ⏰.

  4. Overgrown tee boxes - Doesn’t happen often, but it sucks when you’re on one.

  5. 3 putting - This one is on the man in the mirror, but I always like to blame other things for it 😉.

Top 5 Best Moments on the Course 🙌:

  1. Hitting Bombs 💣 - Not too many things beat this.

  2. Playing with Friends 😎 - As much as you want to beat them, playing with your besties is the bee’s knees .

  3. Shooting Low Bruv🏌️‍♂️- One of the main reasons we play. We want to be the best that we can be and it only takes one great round to keep us coming back for the rest of our lives.

  4. The Scenery 🏞️- Just taking in breathtaking views is one of the best parts about golf. And you can find unique courses with amazing views all over the globe 🌎.

  5. Perfect Weather ☀️ - Nothing like a perfect day when you’re not too hot or too cold. No sweating or shivering, just flushing shots towards the green.

  6. Bonus Moment ✅ - An underrated one is playing by yourself. Nothing like getting away on a “lunch break” and playing a quick 9 with no one on the course.
